How we use cookies

Small text files stored on your device. What we set, what they do, and how you opt out.

The Basics

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us provide a better experience by remembering your preferences and understanding how you use the platform.

First-party

Set directly by LegacyCore for authentication, security, and remembered preferences.

First-party proxied analytics

PostHog analytics run through our own /ingest proxy, so no third-party cookies are set. Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless.

Session vs persistent

Session cookies expire when you close the browser. Persistent cookies remain until expiry or deletion.

Your Controls

Categories & preferences

Essential

These keep the platform functioning and secure — signing you in, keeping your session, protecting forms against cross-site request forgery, and remembering your theme. They cannot be switched off.

Analytics

Helps us understand which pages are used and how the app performs so we can improve it. This runs through Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights (cookieless, hosted) and a first-party analytics stream stored in our own database (anonymous — no third-party analytics account, no cross-site tracking). Off until you allow it.

Browser Settings

Manage cookies in your browser

Independent of our on-page preferences, you can clear or block cookies directly in the browser.

Chrome

Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data

Firefox

Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data

Safari

Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

Edge

Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Disabling essential cookies will break authentication and most functionality. Disabling analytics has no effect on your experience but reduces our visibility into platform health.
